Lavender Bee Apothecary was born from resilience, creativity, and a shared commitment to living intentionally.
Founded by aunt and niece, Janet and Kelly, the brand reflects two different life journeys that arrived at the same conviction. What we put on and into our bodies matters. Kelly is a two time breast cancer survivor who also lives with celiac disease. After facing cancer twice, she became deeply aware of ingredient integrity. Fighting for her health reshaped how she viewed everyday products. Living with celiac disease required constant label reading, questioning hidden additives, and being vigilant about toxins and fillers. The search for clean, organic, trustworthy products became personal. Too often, products labeled natural still contained synthetic fragrances and complicated ingredient lists that did not align with true wellness.
Janet’s path to Lavender Bee came through both reinvention and devotion. A retired teacher, she spent years pouring creativity into the classroom. Over time, changing rules and rigid curriculum standards slowly stripped away the magic she once loved about teaching. Rather than continue in a space that no longer allowed imagination to thrive, she chose to build something magical of her own.
Today, Janet leads much of the production at Lavender Bee, handcrafting small batch products with care and precision. Her steady, nurturing presence anchors the brand. She understands firsthand the importance of clean living, as her own daughter is also a breast cancer survivor. That shared experience deepened her commitment to safe, thoughtful, transparent ingredients. Lavender Bee Apothecary is the intersection of resilience and reinvention.
